East China’s Jiangsu province has completed its annual tasks on schedule by introducing a package of policies to stabilize the economy, promote reform, expand opening up, and ensure people's wellbeing.
Statistics show that in 2022, all major provincial projects had been started by the third quarter by injecting 600 billion yuan in total investment.
The state's policy-oriented development financial instruments have invested 128 projects and 47.05 billion yuan in Jiangsu.
190 billion yuan was invested in the 12 categories of 50 people's livelihood projects determined at the beginning of the year. The province reported a digital economy of 5.1 trillion yuan. It also recorded 1.35 trillion yuan in import and export to countries along the "the Belt and Road" and 2023 projects for paired-up assistance in the targeted provinces.
In 2023, Jiangsu will continue to promote the overall improvement of economic operation, make the real economy bigger and stronger, solidly promote common prosperity, promote urban and rural integration and regional coordinated development, deepen reform and expand opening up, and adhere to ecological priority green development.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will also strive to create a convenient environment for consumption, cultivate and develop new consumption models such as instant retail and first store economy.
Jiangsu will also lay out and build a number of high-level digital industry clusters, further promote the innovation reform of optimizing the business environment, support southern Jiangsu to build a demonstration area of common prosperity, actively and steadily promote carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, deeply carry out the exploration and practice of the value realization mechanism of ecological products, and make Jiangsu's contribution to comprehensively promoting the new practice of Chinese path to modernization.
