48 Jiangsu-based enterprises have become single champion enterprises and products, ranking first in China, according to the list of the seventh batch of national single champion enterprises and products in manufacturing industry released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics.
Jiangsu has won 19 demonstration enterprises and 29 individual champion products, bringing its total number to 186.
70% of the 186 individual manufacturing champions belong to the manufacturing enterprises of key basic materials, core parts and special high-end products.
The R&D investment of these enterprises accounts for more than 5% of the main business income on average. They have more than 100 invention patents on average and 4 R&D institutions above the provincial level on average, which is higher than the average of manufacturing enterprises nationwide.
In recent years, Jiangsu has established and improved the working mechanism of gradient cultivation of high-quality enterprises, forming a gradient cultivation system from innovative small and medium-sized enterprises to small giant enterprises, and then to single champion enterprises in the manufacturing industry.
The enterprises that made the list of the 7th batch of national single champion of manufacturing industry are distributed in 13 prefecture level cities in the province, with Suzhou, Changzhou and Nantong ranking the top three.
