APEC Digital Capacity Building Seminar held in Yangzhou

  The State Internet Information Office held the APEC Digital Capacity Building Seminar in Yangzhou on Tuesday and Wednesday. JSBC has the story. 

Cao Shumin, deputy director of the National Cyberspace Office, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Zhang Aijun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee,  delivered a speech.

Among the speakers at the opening ceremony were Mohamed Rudi Salahedin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Coordination of Indonesia, Newin Chochiashipu, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, Sun Dong, Director of the Bureau of Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong SAR Government of China.

Cao Shumin pointed out that the purpose of holding this meeting is to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech and the 2022 APEC Leaders' Declaration.

She said China is willing to work with all parties in the Asia Pacific region to accelerate the construction of digital infrastructure and promote the sharing of digital public services, speed up the narrowing of the digital divide and promote the improvement of digital literacy for all, accelerate the innovative supply of digital products, promote the digital transformation of SMEs, and jointly improve their digital capabilities.

Zhang Aijun pointed out that Jiangsu regards the digital economy as a key increment of high-quality development, and vigorously promotes the construction of digital basic capacity, so as to show a strong pace of digital industrialization and industrial digital transformation.

He said that Jiangsu would rely on the advantages of a large manufacturing province, reflect "Jiangsu's responsibility" in the transformation of digital technology leading economic and social development, and contribute "Jiangsu's plan" to the reform of the global Internet governance system.
