The final of the 5th Jiangsu Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition ended in Nanjing. A total of 5 first prizes were awarded, and 22 projects will represent Jiangsu in the "China Creation Wing" national selection competition.
Launched in March, this competition is divided into 5 tracks: the main competition, the youth creativity special competition, the rural revitalization special competition and the labor service brand special competition.
A total of 3,343 entries were collected, and 3,140 projects were qualified, a year-on-year increase of 113.9% and setting a record high.
This competition covers many emerging fields such as information technology, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, new materials, and new energy. Energy-saving and low-carbon innovation is thrust to the spotlight of this year's competition.
"The name of our project is an industrial application scheme of low carbonization and functionalization of pavement based on material and process innovation. We can reduce the amount of asphalt and stone materials by about 30% and reduce energy use by 20% to 30%," said Wei Tangzhong, Chairman of Nanjing Xingyou Transportation Technology Co., Ltd.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, 60 projects were finalized in Nanjing and came up with 5 first prizes, 7 second prizes, and 11 third prizes.
22 projects will represent Jiangsu in the national selection competition of the 5th "China Creation Wing" Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.
The project "R&D and production of high-performance OCA optical pressure-sensitive adhesives" won the first prize in the manufacturing group of the main competition.
The team of Harbin Institute of Technology Wuxi New Materials Research Institute has developed two generations of optical pressure-sensitive adhesive products, realizing the industrialization of the project and breaking the monopoly of multinational companies in this field.
"The project we provide for the competition is optical pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is mainly used to bond optical films in the most common mobile phone, computer and tablet, including car displays. Our products are the first in China that can compete with international first-class products and our latest technology can reach 200 thousand folds without folding and degumming," said Bai Yang, General Manager of Wuxi Trillion Star New Material Technology Co., Ltd.
The Human Resources and Social Security Department will provide policy support such as entrepreneurial support, entrepreneurial services, and talent encouragement to the shortlisted outstanding projects while giving priority support in terms of entrepreneurial guaranteed loans and financial support in a bid to build a platform for effective connection between entrepreneurship and innovation projects and social resources, and build a new system of innovation and entrepreneurship that promotes training through competition, attracts talents through competition, and helps innovation through competition in an all-round and multi-level manner.
