East China’s Jiangsu province has released 19 new measures to promote the stable development of agriculture and ensure the fulfillment of the annual development goals, according to a circular issued by the provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs.
Jiangsu will strengthen the production of important agricultural products including grain, seize the critical period of summer planting, promote the planting of autumn grains, and ensure that the rice will be planted over more than 33 million mu. The province will plant 4.5 million mu of oil crops and 600 thousand mu of soybean and corn.
The province will make efforts to improve the policy of grain income and security, issue one-time subsidies for grain farmers, mobilize farmers' enthusiasm for grain planting, and organize experts to provide technical guidance at the grassroots level to ensure high and stable autumn grain yields.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will effectively promote the matching of production and sales of agricultural products by establishing and improving routine production and supply and emergency supply guarantee work machines around key consumer varieties such as vegetables and pork mechanisms on key consumption varieties such as vegetables and pork.
The province will also innovate rural consumption formats and models, promote the in-depth integration of agriculture with cultural tourism, science and education, and health care, and target the development of non-holiday rural leisure and rural night economy, so as to improve the operational capabilities of the main body of leisure agriculture.
All parts of the province must optimize banks' matching services for large-scale investment projects, support banks to create exclusive green financial products, and provide long-term stable financial services and differentiated credit support for more than 1,000 major projects to ensure that over 75% of the project get started in the first half of the year, and all projects will be kicked off in the third quarter.
