Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, went on an inspection tour Tuesday in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
Wu Zhenglong went to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications to learn about the progress in national laboratories, technological innovation, and employment of college graduates.
Noting that technology is the primary productive force, talent is the primary human resource, and innovation is the primary driving force, he asked the two universities to adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education and the important reply letter to Nanjing University’s young scholars returning from overseas.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, said the provincial party chief.
The State Key Laboratory of Organic Electronics and Information Display of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is China’s first state key laboratory in the field of organic electronics.
When inspecting the laboratory, Wu Zhenglong learned in detail about the research direction, key scientific issues, breakthroughs in bottleneck technologies, cooperation models with enterprises, and the transformation and application of achievements.
Wu Zhenglong also learned in detail about the employment of college graduates, and asked the universities to strengthen targeted measures to solve employment difficulties, help college students to establish a correct outlook on employment and career choice, and create good conditions for graduates to start their own businesses.
Wu Zhenglong said that the safety of teachers and students is a matter of great concern to development. For this reason, we must continue to improve laboratory safety risks, and strengthen epidemic prevention and control.
Wu Zhenglong hoped that the two colleges and universities will further adhere to the CPC’s leadership and the guiding position of Marxism, serve the cause of the party and the people, implement the fundamental task of morality and cultivating people, inherit the red gene, and cultivate a large number of socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor.
