East China’s Jiangsu province and China Three Gorges Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Wednesday. Provincial Party Secretary Wu Zhenglong and Governor Xu Kunlin met with Three Gorges Group Chairman Lei Mingshan and General Manager Han Jun before the signing ceremony.
Wu Zhenglong and Xu Kunlin expressed their gratitude to the Three Gorges Corporation for its long-term support for Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Wu Zhenglong said that the great Three Gorges Project has closely linked Jiangsu and the Three Gorges Group, and it is our common responsibility and mission to strengthen the ecological protection of the Yangtze River.
He said Jiangsu is adhering to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era by implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, relying on the new development stage, making full, accurate and comprehensive implementation of the new development concept, and accelerating the construction of a new development pattern so as to strengthen the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River, and promote a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
Three Gorges Corporation is the world's largest hydropower development and operation enterprise and the country's largest clean energy group. It can play a major role in strengthening the ecological protection of the Yangtze River.
He welcomed the Three Gorges Group to participate in the high-quality development of Jiangsu in an all-round way, and hoped that the two parties would jointly implement the Xi Jinping Thought on ecological civilization and deepen cooperation in green industry and other aspects.
Wu Zhenglong said Jiangsu will continue to create a market-oriented, legalized and internationalized first-class business environment, fully support the development and growth of the Three Gorges Group in Jiangsu, and jointly make new and greater contributions to building a beautiful China where man and nature coexist in harmony with a clean and beautiful world.
Lei Mingshan and Han Jun thanked Jiangsu for its strong support for the development of the Three Gorges Group. Lei Mingshan said that the cooperation between the Three Gorges Group and Jiangsu has deep roots with fruitful results, adding that Jiangsu has an excellent business environment and a strong entrepreneurial atmosphere.
Leimingshan said the Three Gorges Group will give full play to its own advantages, invest more high-quality projects in Jiangsu, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
