East China’s Jiangsu province has launched job fairs to help local enterprises to speed up resumption of work and production as the epidemic has been brought under control.
Zhenjiang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau held a job fair at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
61 key companies provided more than 1,800 high-quality jobs in this first offline campus job fair.
"I am from Weifang, Shandong and spent four years in Zhenjiang in college. I hope to find a job in Zhenjiang after graduation." Liu Jie, college graduate, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology said.
"Due to the prevention and control of the epidemic, we could not enter the campus to hold job fairs and we were very anxious. Today, the first offline job fair of this year was held at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. We are very happy to have face-to-face communication with students." The Tongzhou Bay Development Demonstration Zone in Nantong City chartered planes and buses to bring laborers from other provinces to Tongzhou Bay. From May 21 to June 13, 5 job fairs were arranged so that job seekers could communicate with companies face-to-face.
The Human Resources and Social Security Department of Huaian City recently arranged an offline job fair, with more than 30 companies providing more than 100 jobs.
As the graduation season approaches, the Human Resources and Social Security Department will also hold a special job fair for fresh graduates to ensure talent introduction services through both online and offline channels.
"On the one hand, we have strengthened epidemic prevention and control and production safety, and on the other hand, we have promoted the recruitment of employees for the high-quality development of Huai’an’s economy and society." Xu Guangfu, Director of Huai'an Employment Service Center said.
