Movie theaters in Jiangsu province will be allowed to resume operation following a guideline on the prevention and control measures in cinemas, the Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department and the Provincial Film Bureau announced Thursday.
Jiangsu will propose 25 service items by focusing on the resumption of work and business, increasing financial and taxation support, optimizing film financial services, reducing the burden on enterprises, and effectively improving service quality in a bid to help the film industry alleviate difficulties.
Jiangsu provincial finance will allocate 10 million yuan to support movie theaters that have been suspended due to epidemic control, and resume business when conditions permit.
For small and micro enterprises in the film industry that lease state-owned services, the rent will be reduced or exempted for 3-6 months, and the 2022 cultural undertaking construction fee will be halved.
