East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort while strengthened the efforts for epidemic prevention and control. Let’s take a close look.

"Haohailong", a new generation of super large and intelligent self-propelled cutter suction vessel independently developed by China, is dredging the tail end of the port basin at the construction site of the first phase of CNOOC Yancheng "Green Energy Port" project, the largest LNG reserve base under construction in China.

The 9-month construction of the dredging of the harbour basin, approach channel and main channel of the project has set a number of domestic records in terms of the longest straight row distance of blowing and filling in China, the largest number and type of ships in the same construction field, the fastest dredging construction between the piles of the receiving station and the wharf, and a successful one-time success of 15 kilometers of direct blowing of mud on land.

The four 220,000-cubic-meter storage tanks are expected to be put into operation on June 30. The project, which is scheduled for operation by the end of 2023, will ensure an annual processing capacity of 6 million tons of LNG, making it the largest LNG storage base in China.

This dredging project has overcome the key technical problems of dredging with a blowing distance of 15 kilometers.

The construction team adopted a new type of seven-arm reamer, cutter teeth, and three-pump series construction technology to optimize the ship's process parameters and the speed of the mud pump unit, which ensured the success of the dredging operation.

The construction team also adopted a special dredging platform and jet device for soil between piles to optimize the construction process and minimize the impact of dredging on the safety of the wharf.

CNOOC Yancheng "Green Energy Port" located in the Yellow Sea New Area of Yancheng is a national key planning project for the construction and interconnection of natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system.

In the first phase of the project, 10 large-scale LNG storage tanks will be built, including four gas storage tanks of 220 thousand cubic meters and six gas storage tanks of 270 thousand cubic meters.

The project will be put into operation by the end of 2023, with an annual processing capacity of 6 million tons of LNG, which can ensure the supply of domestic gas for about 28 months in the province.
