East China’s Jiangsu province has invested 29.5 billion yuan in key projects in the service industry in accordance with the investment schedule, the provincial development and reform commission said on Saturday.

Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has invested in 160 key projects in the service industry by focusing on building a "775" modern service industry system with Jiangsu characteristics.
104 projects were newly initiated and 56 projects were transferred. With a total investment of 481.8 billion yuan, 104.5 billion yuan will be invested this year.
Since the beginning of this year, all parts of the province have overcome the adverse impact of the epidemic, taken the construction of key projects as an important starting point for accelerating the recovery and high-quality development of the service industry, increased overall coordination and sped up project construction.

As of mid-April, 35 key projects out of 104 new projects have broken ground, accounting for more than one-third of the total.
In addition to the 91 key projects started last year, Jiangsu has completed an annual investment of 29.5 billion yuan, laying a solid foundation for the fulfillment of the annual goals.
