Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, called for the sustained spirit of model workers, labor, and craftsmen by following the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and bearing in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions. He made the remarks on Thursday when meeting with the advanced workers and the Labor Day medalists.
Wu Zhenglong said that since last year, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the provincial party committee and the provincial government have united and led the people of the province to coordinate epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, and coordinate development and security to achieve a good start for the "14th Five-Year Plan" development and modernization construction.
In the first quarter of this year, Jiangsu insisted on maintaining stability and seeking progress while making steady progress, made extraordinary efforts to overcome unexpected difficulties so that the province's economic operation remained generally stable.
Wu Zhenglong hoped that everyone will keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions and unswervingly move forward in the direction guided by the General Secretary by gaining insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee encouraged everyone to continuously improve their technical skills, contribute their wisdom to promoting the high-quality development of Jiangsu and building a modern socialist country in an all-round way, and make new and greater contributions to the realization of the second centenary goal and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Jiangsu province gave out the awards on Wednesday to the Labor Day medalists ahead of the May 1st International Labor Day. 63 medals were given to national labor day award winners. 145 units and 255 individuals were given the provincial labor day awards. 106 of the 255 winners of the Provincial May 1st Labor Medal were industrial workers, accounting for 41.6%. 37 migrant workers were given the provincial award, constituting 14.5% of the total. The winners of the Provincial May 1st Labor Medal include one winner of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and four winners of the Provincial Science and Technology Award. The winners come from many industrial sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and postal industry.
