East China’s Jiangsu province gave out the awards on Wednesday to the Labor Day medalists ahead of the May 1st International Labor Day.
63 medals were given to national labor day award winners. 145 units and 255 individuals were given the provincial labor day awards. 106 of the 255 winners of the Provincial May 1st Labor Medal were industrial workers, accounting for 41.6%. 37 migrant workers were given the provincial award, constituting 14.5% of the total. The winners of the Provincial May 1st Labor Medal include 1 winner of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 4 winners of the Provincial Science and Technology Award. The winners come from many industrial sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and postal industry.
