East China’s Jiangsu province has taken proactive measures to help local enterprises tide over difficulties amid the nationwide prevention and control of the covid-19 epidemic due to the spread of the Omicron virus.

Due to the prevention and control of the epidemic, many small, medium and micro enterprises have encountered difficulties in capital flow.

Liu Dan, a resident of Wujin District of Changzhou city, who runs a small auto parts company, has encountered operational difficulties due to the impact from the epidemic and the rise in raw materials.

The Wujin District Federation of Trade Unions helped him solve his immediate needs by obtaining a small guaranteed insurance loan of 100,000 yuan from the bank.

Taking into account the impact of this round of epidemic on small, medium and micro enterprises, the Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions immediately introduced measures to provide labor union innovation and entrepreneurship loans with total capital of over 200 million yuan, serving no less than 1,000 start-ups and self-employed businesses.

The Wujin District Federation of Trade Unions coordinated with banks and insurance companies to open up "green channels" for loan issuance. Since this year, 116 loans have been issued to local small and micro enterprises, totaling 22.4 million yuan.

Capital, land, personnel, and logistics are indispensable development factors for small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed businesses.

Aside from issuing 40 preferential policies for corporate development, Jiangsu has also taken many individualized measures to clear the economic "capillaries".

Twenty-seven private companies in Taizhou that leased from state-owned enterprises were given a three-month rent reduction.

The education department of Jianhu County has arranged for universities and enterprises to develop cooperation programs to provide internship and employment opportunities for graduates.

The transportation department of Suqian has issued more than 6,000 passes to local enterprises to help them transport raw materials and products so as to minimize the impact of the epidemic on enterprises.
