Wu Zhenglong pointed out that the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the annual two sessions is of high level with profound and rich connotation so as to provide important follow-up and injects strong momentum for us to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.
He demanded further efforts to enhance political stance, gain a deep understanding of the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked all parts of the province to adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, balance development and security, create a stable and healthy economic environment, a social environment of national peace and prosperity, and a clean political environment，strengthen the prevention and control of the epidemic, which is related to the safety and health of the people, and make epidemic prevention and control a top priority at present by adhering to the general strategy of preventing inbound cases from overseas and sporadic resurgence at home and ensuring dynamic zero case policy so as to make every effort to curb the spread of the epidemic
Wu Zhenglong asked party organizations at all levels to work hard to maintain stable and healthy economic development, implement new development concepts, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, focus on promoting high-quality development, continue to advance supply-side structural reform, and fulfill the political responsibility of stabilizing the macro economy so as to ensure security in the six areas of employment, basic living needs, operations of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, the normal functioning of primary-level governments and keep stable employment, the financial sector, foreign trade, foreign and domestic investments, and expectations.
The provincial party chief required all localities to effectively maintain the safety and stability of the industrial chain and supply chain, deepen the integration of the industrial chain and the innovation chain, strengthen the research on key core technologies, accelerate the development of digital industries, and make efforts to build advanced manufacturing and strategic emerging industrial clusters so as to accelerate the improvement of the security and competitiveness of industrial and supply chains.
He requested more efforts to continue to promote the path of ecology-driven green development, promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, strengthen the ecological protection of the Yangtze River, continue to promote pollution prevention and control, further promote carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and promote economic and social development and green and low-carbon transformation in a strong and orderly manner.
Wu Zhenglong called for further efforts to promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, strengthen the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, deepen the pairing-up assistance and cooperation between southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu, implement the rural revitalization strategy, promote urban renewal and improvement of rural living environment, strengthen food security, and build the new land of fish and rice.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that greater efforts should be made to prevent and defuse major risks and hidden dangers, build an overall national security concept, carry out risk investigation and rectification in various fields, nip various risks and hidden dangers in the bud, maintain the overall security and stability of society, and go all out to solve tough issues concerning employment, education, medical care and people's livelihood, promote the equalization of basic public services, accelerate the improvement of the social security system, deepen the reform of the social assistance system, and solidly promote common prosperity.
