The city of Lianyungang is urged to rein in the sporadic resurgence of the COVID-19 cases as soon as possible so as to protect the health of the people. The remark was made by Fei Gaoyun, executive vice governor of Jiangsu, when going on an inspection tour in Lianyungang city Tuesday morning.
The inspection team from the provincial government visited expressway toll gates and urban residential quarters to learn about the measures taken on the containment, control and prevention of the epidemic and the implementation of the nucleic acid testing.
The inspection team demanded that the people's living security work be effectively guaranteed, so that the people could stay at home for safe isolation and quickly cut off the chain of virus transmission.
The inspection team also learned about the supply of daily necessities in large supermarkets and instructed them to continue to arrange for the supply of goods to ensure price stability.
