East China’s Jiangsu province last year completed 89% of the tasks included in the three-year reform of state-owned enterprises, and the revenue of enterprises supervised by the provincial and municipal SASACs exceeded one trillion yuan for the first time.

In 2021, enterprises under the supervision of provincial and municipal SASACs reported operating income of 1,156.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.6% and an average increase of 8.5% on a two-year basis.

Provincial enterprises reported operating income of 388.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, and an average increase of 9.6% on a two-year basis.

The total profit of provincial SASAC enterprises exceeded 50 billion yuan for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%.

By the end of last year, Jiangsu had completed 89% of the 138 reform tasks listed in the three-year action plan for state-owned enterprise reform.

2022 is the final year of the three-year reform of state-owned enterprises. The province's state-owned enterprises will focus on key areas and key links to accelerate breakthroughs to ensure the full completion of various reform tasks.

In terms of corporate governance, Jiangsu will further implement the external director system, and make good use of policies and measures such as excess profit sharing and key employee shareholding to improve efficiency and vitality of state-owned enterprises.

In terms of investment layout, Jiangsu will increase its cooperation with central enterprises, inject more state-owned capital into advanced manufacturing, strategic emerging industries, energy resources, ecological environmental protection, modern service industries and other fields so as to actively enhance the ability of provincial state-owned capital to support the overall modernization of the province.
