The award ceremony of the 2021 “China·Suzhou” College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition was held on Jan. 12. Also, the winners of the Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Award were announced. City leader Wang Qinghua attended the event.
The annual competition has been held for 14 consecutive times since 2008, having grown in scale and influence. It has gathered a total of nearly 10,000 projects, about 250 of which have entered the finals. It has helped create 50,000 jobs, contributing significantly to local industrial upgrading and economic growth.
This year’s competition, which lasted for 6 months, was divided into four categories: local youth, local universities, domestic universities, and overseas teams. It attracted nearly 2,000 projects in various fields such as new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and high-end equipment manufacturing. After strict screening, about 12 teams were shortlisted for the finals.
