Suzhou will invest more than 100 billion yuan to support innovation clusters, according to the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of Industrial Innovation Clusters in the Digital Economy Era" issued by Suzhou Municipal Government in a bid to build a national demonstration city featuring innovation clusters leading industrial transformation and upgrading.
According to the "Opinions", Suzhou will launch 20 key measures to focus on the four leading industries of electronic information, equipment manufacturing, bio-medicine, and advanced materials, and implement a series of strong policies to support the development of innovation clusters.
Suzhou will award 30 million yuan to companies that are listed in the "Fortune 500" for the first time, and grant up to 100 million yuan in project funding to major innovation teams.
By 2025, Suzhou will cultivate and certify 20 thousand high-tech enterprises, settle no less than 10 world-class strategic scientific and technological talents, and recruit 4,000 high-end foreign talents.
Suzhou will also build 100 demonstrative intelligent factories and 2,000 demonstrative intelligent workshops to ensure that it ranks in the forefront of the country's digital-led industrial transformation and upgrading.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Suzhou will dynamically invest more than 100 billion yuan in special funds to support the development of industrial innovation clusters in the digital economy era and build a national demonstration city featuring "innovation clusters leading industrial transformation and upgrading".
