近日，“乐缘之约”中欧城市传统文化交流苏州维也纳连线活动在苏州昆曲传习所成功举办。
Musical Encounter Between Suzhou and Vienna, the third session of the China-Europe City Talks on Traditional Culture series, was held online on December 17.
The talk on the theme of traditional music created a bridge of cultural exchange between Suzhou, a national historical and cultural city, and Vienna, a famous capital of music. Representatives from both sides attended the event and agreed to further mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation in such fields as culture, tourism, education and youth, etc.
During the opening ceremony, the two cities played videos covering musical culture, city profile, teenager musical performance and greetings. Through the video link and introductory videos, citizens from Suzhou and Vienna deepened their friendship and mutual understanding. Besides, the two cities had an in-depth discussion on co-hosting Suzhou International Design Week 2022 and the follow-up cultural and art activities.
Jointly held by the Gusu District People’s Government, Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People’s Government and Vienna City Council, the third talk was a successful conclusion to the China-Europe City Talks on Traditional Culture series. Suzhou had previously joined hands with Fontainebleau in France and York in the UK and respectively had online talks earlier this year.
