Wujiang District of Suzhou is speeding up the construction of the Jiangling Bridge across the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. In order to combine the characteristics of Wujiang's cultural environment and inherit the culture of the canal, the Jiangling Bridge will be inspired by awning boats to create an iconic landscape with the charm of the south of the Yangtze River.
The Jiangling Bridge is part of the first phase of the rapid transformation of Jiangling Road. Four steel truss bridges will be erected on the canal to greatly increase the traffic capacity. The project is scheduled for opening to traffic by the end of 2023.
Zhenjiang has recently started construction of the Zhenjiang city section urban renovation project of 346 National Highway. The 7.48-kilometer-lon project will involve a total investment of 760 million yuan.
