East China’s Jiangsu province posted double-digit growth in cultural industry revenue in the first three quarters, according to statistics released by the provincial bureau of statistics.
In the first three quarters of this year, 8403 cultural enterprises above designated size in Jiangsu reported operating income of 884.72 billion yuan, an increase of 20.5% over the same period of the previous year, and an average increase of 7.9% on a two-year basis.
In the first three quarters, Southern Jiangsu achieved operating income of 675.84 billion yuan, accounting for 76.4% of the provincial total. Central Jiangsu and Northern Jiangsu reported year-on-year increase by 30% and 31%.
In recent years, Jiangsu's cultural manufacturing industry has maintained rapid growth. The province's cultural manufacturing industry above designated size has achieved operating income of 449.57 billion yuan, accounting for 50.8% of the province's total, 14 percentage points higher than the national average.
From January to September, Jiangsu’s cultural enterprises reported output value increase by 19.5% year-on-year, 1.8 percentage points higher than the national average.
