The 2021 China Jiangsu Electronic Commerce Conference and China Industrial Internet Annual Conference opened in Nanjing on Wednesday.
The Provincial Department of Commerce and Alibaba Group released at the conference the province’s first industrial e-commerce development report.

8 national-level digital business enterprises and 12 e-commerce parks in Jiangsu were awarded as national-level e-commerce demonstration bases.
In the first three quarters of this year, Jiangsu's online retail sales ranked fifth in the country, and rural online retail sales ranked second in the country.
At the same time, Jiangsu is also innovating its e-commerce models. Leading companies such as Huitongda, Xugong E-commerce, and Kidswant are engaged in subdivision areas. Well-known e-commerce industry clusters such as Changshu Clothing and Nantong Home Textiles are booming, and e-commerce has promoted the upgrading of the industry.

Experts believe that Jiangsu has unique advantages in the development of e-commerce in terms of modern physical industries, regional cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta, market players, and business environment.
In the next stage, Jiangsu will give full play to the new kinetic role of e-commerce in the process of promoting the "dual cycle", further cultivate leading e-commerce companies with global influence, accurately classify and implement policies to build industrial e-commerce industry cluster development, and optimize the development of rural e-commerce environment, improve the logistics service system, strive to build a cross-border e-commerce development industrial chain and ecosystem, and accelerate the promotion of Jiangsu's new growth engine for consumption and trade.
