The Map of Jinling, a painting by Feng Ning, a court painter of the Qing Dynasty, has attracted widespread attention because of its centuries-old legend and its precious artistic and historical value. Starting from October 29th, Feng Ning's version of Map of Jinling will be exhibited in Nanjing in a digital form with a one-hundred-fold magnification, allowing audiences to enjoy it in a new interactive form.

The painting depicts the rustic scenery of Nanjing in the Song Dynasty, including the ancient city wall, Qinhuai River, and the duck restaurant in Shuiximen, providing valuable image materials for studying the ancient city of Nanjing.

The Map of Jinling went into private collections from the imperial family at the end of the Qing Dynasty. It returned to the Chinese mainland in 2015 and is now in the collection of Nanjing Deji Art Museum.

We have conducted systematic research on the painting, so that 90 groups of animals and 533 figurines on the screen can come alive, so that we can show each person's occupation, and what they are doing. At the same time, we hope to change the way of acquiring knowledge. We hope to communicate through the first-person narration and the interaction between the audience and the painting during the exhibition so that we will realize the process of real people entering the painting through the indoor high-precision positioning system, real-time 3D interaction and intelligent middle station.
