East China’s Jiangsu province will spare no effort to promote green and low-carbon chemical industry for quality and efficiency upgrade, according to a meeting held in Zhangjiagang city on Monday. Governor Wu Zhenglong gave written instructions. Vice Governor Hu Guangjie attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
In his instructions, Wu Zhenglong emphasized that we must fully implement the new development concept, promote high-quality development, better coordinate development and safety, grasp the opportunities and challenges brought by carbon peak emission and carbon neutrality, aim at world-class levels, and strengthen technology self-reliance.
Efforts must be made to accelerate the promotion of intensification of layout, high-end products, intelligent production, and intrinsic safety, and strive to promote the safe, green and low-carbon development of the chemical industry, and make new and greater contributions to the modern chapter of the new Jiangsu construction.
Hu Guangjie required further efforts to accurately grasp the new situation and new tasks, deeply analyze the laws of industrial development, face up to shortcomings and weaknesses, seize major opportunities, and promote the high-quality development of the chemical industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
He demanded targeted measures to grasp the industrial layout optimization project, industrial transformation and upgrading project, key technology breakthrough project, park management upgrade project, high-quality enterprise cultivation project, safety and environmental protection improvement project, and comprehensively improve the advanced industrial foundation and the modernization level of the industrial chain.
Hu Guangjie urged efforts to build a world-class green chemical industry cluster with core competitiveness and distinctive advantages, strive to promote the green and low-carbon chemical industry, improve quality and efficiency, and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse.
The participants visited the Smart Management Center of Yangtze River Chemical Park, Dow-WACKER Integrated Production Base, and Changshun Group Innovation and R&D Center.
