Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu province, met Tuesday in Nanjing with Li Fanrong, general manager of Sinochem Holdings Co., Ltd.
Wu Zhenglong extended his welcome to Li Fanrong, and expressed his sincere gratitude to Sinochem for its long-term care and support for the development of Jiangsu.
Wu Zhenglong said that the chemical industry is an important basic industry and pillar industry of the national economy.
The governor noted that based on the new development stage, the new development concept, and the new development pattern, Jiangsu will adhere to the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions for Jiangsu’s work, better coordinate development and safety, adhere to supply-side structural reforms, accelerate technological and industrial innovation, promote safe, green and low-carbon circular development and high-quality development of the chemical industry, and move toward the mid-to-high end of the global industrial chain value chain.
Noting that Sinochem is an important flagship state-owned enterprise, Wu Zhenglong hoped that both parties will grasp the opportunities and challenges brought by carbon emission peak and carbon neutrality, strengthen cooperation in the ecological protection of the Yangtze River, industrial layout optimization and transformation and upgrading, modern agricultural development, safe development, and better play a demonstrative and leading role in the overall green transformation of Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Li Fanrong said that Jiangsu has a good industrial foundation and an excellent development environment, making it a key destination for Sinochem's industrial layout in China.
He said Sinochem will concentrate its advantageous resources, increase investment, improve the level of safe, green, and low-carbon circular development, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
