East China’s Jiangsu province will boost added value of the service industry to the scale of about 7 trillion yuan with the taxation expected to account for more than 53% of the provincial total so as to basically become a world-class and domestic leading modern service industry highland, according to the province’s 14th Five-Year Plan" Modern Service Industry Development Plan.
Focusing on Jiangsu's industrial foundation, the plan aims at cutting-edge areas to build a modern service industry system with Jiangsu characteristics so as to give a strong impetus to the development of competitive and advantageous service industries such as technological services, software and information services, and financial services.
The development of the service industry is to strengthen the development of high-growth service industries in health services, elderly care services, education and training, and make breakthroughs in the development of five forward-looking leading service industries including big data services and industrial Internet application services so as to provide strong support to achieve high-quality economic development.
Jiangsu will also focus on the implementation of the "331" project in the modern service industry, cultivate and form 300 leading enterprises and 300 cluster demonstration zones, and carry out pilot demonstrations for the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries.
In the meantime, the province will cultivate and form a provincial-level two-industry integration development benchmark leading model 100, and comprehensively select and form about 20 new round of service industry comprehensive reform pilot areas, and guide leading companies to strengthen industrial chain integration and value chain extension.
