
The Yangtze River Delta kicked off its inaugural cross-strait youth innovation and entrepreneurship competition from July 11 to 13 in the city of Changzhou in east China’s Jiangsu province.
Sixty-seven cross-strait youth innovation and entrepreneurship projects from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui were selected for the preliminary contest. The 32 high-quality projects in the finals are concerned with electronic information, biomedicine, and intelligent manufacturing industries.
The project team averages 39 years old with the youngest contestant only 20 years old. The projects contributed for the finals have 137 invention patents and 37 software copyrights.

within 20 minutes
by collecting a drop of blood
saving more prime time for rescuing patients
13 first, second and third prizes and 19 outstanding awards were given out.
The organizer of the competition will provide policy support, financing loans, technology transfer, coaching and training, publicity and promotion services for the winning projects.
According to Li Xiaozhi, Director of Economic Division, Taiwan Affairs Office, Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, they hoped that this competition could help build a platform so that Taiwanese youths can get make more demonstrations here and receive more resources to help them achieve better development in the Yangtze River Delta.
