Wu Daguan, a famous aircraft engine expert, was born in Zhenjiang city of Jiangsu province in 1916. He was hailed as "the father of China aviation engine" and one of the founders of the main research career of aviation industry and aviation engine design.
Wu Daguan graduated from the National Southwest Associated University in 1942 before going to the United States to pursue advanced studies in Lycoming Pratt & Whitney engine plant and Hewlett-Packard Co. Ltd.
He dedicated his life to research of new aircraft engine developed method and program, presided over many types of engines, developed and train generations of professional talents. He has made an important contribution to the aviation industry with his design of the aviation engine.
Wu Daguan's outstanding contribution to the aviation engine industry, as well as his incomparable love and loyalty to the party and the motherland, have established an immortal spiritual monument for the latecomers.
