The inaugural Huaihe River Chinese Entrepreneur Forum kicked off Wednesday in Huai’an city, east China’s Jiangsu province.
Tan Tianxing, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, said that the Huaihe River Chinese Entrepreneurs Forum can better pool the wisdom and strength of the overseas Chinese, boost the construction of the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt, and also help improve the work related to the overseas Chinese affairs.
Cities along the Huaihe River should take this opportunity to build the Huaihe River Chinese Entrepreneurs Forum into an important platform for overseas Chinese businesses to get involved in the development strategies of the Huaihe River Eco-economic Belt, pool the wisdom of the overseas Chinese and promote mutual learning between Chinese and Western civilizations, said Tan.
Noting that this forum is an important action to respond to the national Huaihe River Eco-economic Belt strategy, the shared expectations of the Huaihe River Basin for joint development and the economic integration and development of the eastern and central regions, Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and head of the Jiangsu Provincial United Front Work Department, hoped that Chinese businesses can join hands with 28 cities in the 5 provinces along the Huaihe River to promote the construction of the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt.
37 investment projects were signed to bring nearly 30 billion yuan of capital to the cities along the Huaihe River.
