Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu provincial committee, called for more efforts in the rectification of the problems in the political and legal organs and the high-quality development in the coastal regions. He made the remarks on Wednesday when going on an inspection tour in Yancheng city.
Lou Qinjian visited the Dongcheng Police Station of the Tinghu Branch of the Yancheng Public Security Bureau.
The Dongcheng Police Station is tasked with the security maintenance of the economic development area of Tinghu District where the number of migrant workers has kept growing in recent years.
The police officers have made exploratory efforts to facilitate their services for the local people and enterprises by establishing a coordinated mechanism to respond to emergencies efficiently and effectively.
Lou greeted the officers on behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government and spoke highly of the efforts made by the police station in the party history learning and education campaign and the rectification of the problems in the political and legal organs.
He said that the grassroots police station, which represents the image of the party and the government at the grassroots level, bears the important responsibility of cracking down on crimes, maintaining social order, and serving the people. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out education and rectification of the political and legal teams, he added.
Lou Qinjian hoped that the police officers will arm their minds and guide practice with the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, understand the CPC’s original aspiration from the red resources such as the iron army spirit of the New Fourth Army, and further strengthen their beliefs from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requires that the education and rectification of the political and legal teams must follow General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions to ensure that violations of law and discipline by a small number of officers are strictly dealt with, so that the people can see the new changes and atmosphere brought about by the education rectification campaign, and continue to enhance the people’s sense of gain and happiness and security.
China launched a campaign in 2021 regarding its political and legal organs across the country to educate its personnel and rectify existing problems in these units.
Demanded by the Communist Party of China Central Committee, this campaign is a new measure to conduct strict governance over the Party and the police.
The education and rectification of all political and legal organs across the country are scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2022.
Lou Qinjian visited Huangsha Port, a traditional fishing port in the Yellow Sea in Sheyang County, where he inspected the seafood market to learn about seafood trading, logistics and distribution, and business development.
He requested that in the process of promoting high-quality development in coastal areas, Yancheng must make a systematic plan to build schools, hospitals and other public service facilities so as to enhance the attractiveness and influence of investment promotion.
Lou Qinjian inspected a local farm to make inquiry into the wheat harvest, planting varieties, and the harmless treatment of wheat straw.
The CPC Jiangsu Provincial chief asked Yancheng authorities to follow the road of agricultural modernization, place food security on top of the government’s agenda, ensure the food security lifeline, continue to deepen the structural reform of the agricultural supply side, develop modern agricultural technology, accelerate the transformation of agricultural development methods, and consolidate the foundation for rural revitalization.
