The Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a symposium on "strengthening cultivated land protection, accelerating the construction of modern seed industries, and fully promoting rural revitalization". Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Huang Lixin pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the work of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" and emphasizes that solving the problems of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" is the top priority of the work of the Communist Party of China.
The Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government earnestly implemented the central government's policies and measures to promote agricultural development by focusing on strengthening the protection of arable land, promoting innovation in the seed industry, and accelerating the improvement of farmers' housing in northern Jiangsu.
She urged more efforts to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches, resolutely implement the strictest farmland protection system, strengthen farmland protection, accelerate the modern seed industry, comprehensively promote rural revitalization, and promote coordinated urban and rural development at a higher level so as to innovate systems and mechanisms, accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and provide a strong guarantee for composing a new chapter in modernization.
Pan Xianzhang, vice governor of Jiangsu, briefed the symposium on the province’s efforts and progress in the work of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers".
Zhu Xiaojin, Ma Jianguo, Xue Guo’an and 10 other members of the provincial CPPCC spoke at the symposium.
