East China’s Jiangsu province has released its major tasks for the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2021 by giving full play to its role of lying at the intersection of the silk road belt and maritime silk road.
Jiangsu will make great progress in the construction of the land-sea new Eurasian continental bridge starting from Lianyungang, a port city in the northeast of Jiangsu.
Efforts will also be made to boost the construction of the China-UAE Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park and Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone in Cambodia, China-Europe freight train, Xuzhou Huaihai International Land Port and the provincial integrated service platform.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will launch "Five Special Actions", highlighting the international integrated transportation system, international production capacity cooperation, silk road trade, key park cooperation, and cultural exchanges, speeding up the construction of Nanjing and Suzhou industrial technology innovation centers, and speeding up the construction of the international production capacity cooperation highlands in Wuxi and Changzhou.
Jiangsu will also establish and improve the "Belt and Road" working mechanism, encourage policy banks and commercial financial institutions to provide financial services in multiple channels and in multiple forms, and strive to form a new work pattern that is coordinated and promoted as a whole.
