East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to achieve the social and economic development targets set forth in this year’s government work report. JSBC has the story.
Wuxi Liancheng Kex Semiconductor has put into use half of its plants for its high-end equipment R&D and manufacturing project since construction started in April last year.
The phase I project is scheduled for operation in October to ensure an annual production of 2,000 sets of high-end semiconductor equipment in the future.
"In the first quarter,the company's total tax revenue exceeded last year’s total.In February,we developed the world's first guided-mold sapphire single crystal growth furnace and produced sapphire crystals."said Li Dan, Deputy Director of Liancheng Kex Technology Co., Ltd.
The preferential policies from the government have helped to fuel the development of key industrial projects.
Siyang-based Jiangsu Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd. started construction of a 500 thousand-ton recycled fiber production project in June last year. With the construction of the plant nearing completion and the installation of equipment to begin in coming days, the project is expected to be put into operation in October this year.
The project will introduce intelligent production equipment to consolidate Jiangsu's leading position in the green recycled fiber industry.
"After the project is put into production 505 thousand tons of PET bottle flakes will be used annually equivalent to 30 billion beverage bottles,which will help reduce 10 million tons of carbon dioxide each year.The project will produce 500 thousand tons of recycled high-end polyester filament per year,and its market share will account for more than 40% of the global market."said KongWenlong, CEO, Jiangsu Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd.
"We have formulated a work list of 26 tasks,involving eight aspects including land construction and terminal construction.We participated in the planning and construction of the enterprise throughout the process,and solved nearly 500 problems."said Yang Jun, manager of Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd.
Regional government authorities in Jiangsu have stepped up their efforts to boost the construction of key industrial projects since the province released the list of key investment projects on March 1.
Construction has got underway for 69 of the 220 key investment projects with 138 to be started soon. Construction on 82 re-investment projects is in full swing.
Provincial leaders will be placed under the direct supervision system to ensure that the key industrial projects will be accelerated in the coming months.
