Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met with Tong Jilu, chairman of China Tower Co., Ltd., in Nanjing on Tuesday. The two sides conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in the future.
Lou Qinjian said Jiangsu is carrying out an extensive study on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions made during his inspection tour in Jiangsu so as to accurately understand the new development stage, act on the new development philosophy and accelerate the establishment of the new development paradigm and write a new chapter in the construction of the modernization drive.
Lou said during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Jiangsu will comprehensively promote the digital industry, vigorously develop the digital economy, and promote the simultaneous planning and construction of traditional infrastructure and information infrastructure, which means broad development space and cooperation opportunities for Jiangsu and China Tower.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that China Tower Corporation has made positive contributions to Jiangsu's information industry over the years. He hoped that the China Tower will make full use of its rich resources and unique advantages, seize the opportunities of the country’s major strategies and Jiangsu's demand for the telecommunications industry in economic and social development, further improve the level of infrastructure construction and service capabilities to provide strong support for Jiangsu to build a strong digital economy and improve its modern governance system.
Tong Jilu thanked the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for their support and assistance to China Tower Corporation. He said that Jiangsu has a strong real economy, a good business environment, and abundant scientific and educational human resources, adding that the total number of 5G base stations and the sharing rate of towers in Jiangsu rank among the top in the country.
Tong Jilu also said China Tower Corporation will join hands with Jiangsu to deepen the cooperation of industrial integration development and innovation, social resource co-construction and sharing, and prosperity of the digital economy, and help the construction of the new Jiangsu.
