East China’s Jiangsu province has revved up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to achieve the social and economic development targets set forth in this year’s government work report.
The CNOOC Jiangsu Binhai LNG Receiving Station has completed the pouring of the concrete outer roofs of the four LNG storage tanks in the storage tank area.
Consisting of receiving stations, gas pipelines and gas-fired power plants,the CNOOC Jiangsu Binhai LNG integrated project involves a total investment of 18.2 billion yuan.
The project can ensure an annual reduction of 9.41 million tons of carbon dioxide, 91.0 tons of sulfur dioxide, and 167 thousand tons of nitrogen oxides, which is equivalent to planting 20 million trees per year, which will be of great significance to promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in the Huaihe Ecological Economic Zone, improving environmental quality and achieving sustainable development.

The topping of the main body

is scheduled for completion in May this year
and will be put into operation in June 2022
Taicang Port has installed the first batch of three container remote-controlled quay cranes in the fourth phase of the project.
With a total investment of more than 4 billion yuan, the project is now undergoing system debugging.

In the first two months of this year, Taicang Port handled 986 thousand TEUs with a cargo throughput of 35.96 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 52% and 21.2%. When the fourth phase of the project is put into use in July this year, Taicang Port is expected to increase its total throughput to 7 million TEUs.
