East China’s Jiangsu province has revved up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to achieve the social and economic development targets set forth in this year’s government work report.

The CNOOC Jiangsu Binhai LNG Receiving Station has completed the pouring of the concrete outer roofs of the four LNG storage tanks in the storage tank area.

Consisting of receiving stations, gas pipelines and gas-fired power plants, the CNOOC Jiangsu Binhai LNG integrated project involves a total investment of 18.2 billion yuan.

The project can ensure an annual reduction of 9.41 million tons of carbon dioxide, 91.0 tons of sulfur dioxide, and 167 thousand tons of nitrogen oxides, which is equivalent to planting 20 million trees per year, which will be of great significance to promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in the Huaihe Ecological Economic Zone, improving environmental quality and achieving sustainable development.
