Deputies to the National People’s Congress from east China’s Jiangsu province joined panel discussion Saturday and Sunday to review the government work report, the outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan between 2021 and 2025 for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 and the budget report for 2021.
Li Xueyong, former governor of Jiangsu, said that in the past year, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has led China to make remarkable achievements.
Premier Li Keqiang’s government work report is guided by the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, said Li Xueyong.
Li Xueyong also said the NPC’s Subcommittee on Education, Science, Culture and Health will make unremitting efforts to implement the CPC central committee’s decisions and policies and the gist of the fourth annual session of the NPC so as to ensure that the legislative work will make greater achievements with higher quality. Li is now head of the subcommittee.
Wang Changsong, Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, Director of the Provincial Supervision Commission, spoke highly of the government work report delivered by Premier Li Keqiang at the opening ceremony of the annual legislative session.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core united and led the entire party and the people of all ethnic groups across the country to achieve decisive success in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, marking a major new step forward for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, he said.

Discipline inspection and supervision agencies must strengthen political judgment, political understanding, and political execution so as to ensure that the Party Central Committee’s policies and policies are strengthened and the decisions are carried out under strong political supervision.
