Lou Qinjian, deputy to the Provincial People's Congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, joined panel discussion with lawmakers from the Suqian delegation on Wednesday.
Lou Qinjian said that in recent years, the development of various undertakings in Suqian has reached a new level and has shown a good momentum, which is a microcosm of the economic and social development of the province.
He hoped that Suqian would follow the five important characteristics of China’s socialist modernization expounded by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, give play to its comparative advantages on the existing basis, continue to make efforts, and strive to find a path of modernization that is in line with its own reality and has distinctive characteristics.
The CPC provincial chief hoped that Suqian will give better play to the role of informatization in the integration, penetration and promotion of industrialization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization, accelerate the promotion of new industrialization, effectively promote the development of urban and rural integration, accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and carve out a new path of high-quality development.
He demanded further efforts to adhere to the people-centered development concept, better grasp the essential characteristics of socialist modernization and socialist market economy, find solutions to the difficulties in high-quality development through reforms, and actively explore the construction and advancement of comprehensive reforms.
