East China’s Jiangsu province has issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Foreign Trade" in a bid to spur high-quality trade development, according to a press conference held by the provincial government on Thursday.
The "Opinions" is divided into three parts: overall requirements, key tasks and safeguard measures. It puts forward 24 specific measures in eight aspects, including strengthening industrial support, optimizing trade structure, and promoting transformation and development.
The "Opinions" focus on the relationship between current and medium- and long-term development, stable scale and optimized structure by systematically integrating Jiangsu's effective practices and innovative measures and put forward the task of high-quality development of foreign trade in the province by 2022 and 2025.

Jiangsu will hold a series of cross-border e-commerce brand actions and a provincial cross-border e-commerce development conference, promote 10 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot areas to accelerate innovation and exploration, and support the integrated development of new business formats such as market procurement trade and comprehensive foreign trade services.
