The equipment in the Purple Mountain Cyber Security Lab’s network test site has been tested for cyber attacks by global "white hat" hackers since last year. So far, the number of attacks from around the world has exceeded 4.7 million, but none of them have been successful.
Cyber security is the guarantee of the digital age. Recently,the Purple Mountain Cyber Security Lab released the world's first endogenous security cloud platform-"Lianhua Nezha".
Different from the traditional defense mechanism of "fixing loopholes after virus attacks", "Lianhua Nezha" adopts the "network endogenous security theory" pioneered by Chinese scientists, and at the beginning of the system design prioritizes the implantation of defense mechanisms that has "innate immunity".

Looking at the future global industrial layout and focusing on the implementation of national science and technology strategies, Jiangsu has strengthened basic research and original innovation in a bid to achieve more and more original breakthroughs.
Jiangsu will focus on 10 technological reform directions at the international frontier, support 13 top scientists to lead the implementation of a number of major basic research projects, organize and implement 116 industry-leading technology research and development projects in key areas such as integrated circuits and artificial intelligence, and promote the implementation of 80 major scientific and technological achievements transformation projects.
In June 2020, the Gusu Laboratory of Materials Science was unveiled. Through five years of construction, the laboratory,with a total investment of 20 billion yuan,will create a world-class public platform for materials research and development, and break through a number of core basic scientific issues and key common technical issues in the material field.

Spearheaded by the Purple Mountain Laboratory and the Gusu Laboratory, a large number of major scientific and technological innovation platforms have been established in Jiangsu over the past year.
The construction of a major national scientific and technological infrastructure "High-efficiency and Low-Carbon Gas Turbine Test Device" was started in Lianyungang, filling the gap in China's high-power gas turbine test device.
the "Future Network Test Facility", China’s only major national scientific and technological infrastructure in the field of communications and information, is speeding up construction centered on Nanjing.
The world's first nanometer field large scientific device "Nano Vacuum Interconnection Experimental Station" officially entered trial operation in Suzhou.
Various types of scientific and technological innovation carriers such as Nanjing Qilin Science and Technology City, Jiangsu Advanced Materials Technology Innovation Center, Biomedical Technology Innovation Center, and Jiangsu Third Generation Semiconductor Research Institute have landed in the province one after another.
To date, Jiangsu has been approved for 2 major national scientific and technological infrastructure facilities, 42 state key laboratories, and more than 400 new research and development institutions of various types.
