Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, called for efforts to study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches during his recent inspection tour in Jiangsu and promote scientific planning of the formulation of the development plan for the 14th five-year plan period. He made the remark when presiding over a symposium on Wednesday with leading experts in education, culture, health and sports circles.
Among the experts addressing the symposium were Hu Minqiang, Wu Xuemin, Bi Feiyu, Zhou Jingxin, Fang Zhuyuan, Liu Tong, Wu Ming, Wang Jingcheng, Ke Jun, Sun Xiaohong, and Sun Baijun.
They put forth suggestions concerning the study and implementation of the important instructions of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Party and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches made during his recent inspection tour in Jiangsu.
Ren Zhenhe said that the Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the CPC drew up a grand blueprint for basically realizing socialist modernization.
Noting that General Secretary Xi Jinping made his first domestic inspection tour in Jiangsu since the 5th plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Ren said the study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session is a major political task at present and a systematic project in addition to scientifically planning for the development of Jiangsu’s "14th Five-Year Plan”.
Ren Zhenhe said the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s new requirements on the work in Jiangsu must be taken as the general goal, general positioning, and general program for planning future development, which shall be fully and deeply reflected in the "14th Five-Year Plan" proposal so as to continuously open up a new realm of Jiangsu modernization.
He noted that facing the "14th Five-Year Plan", we must be more determined to forge ahead along the direction guided by the Party Central Committee from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
Ren Zhenhe hoped that the experts will continue to give full play to their professional advantages and make greater contributions to Jiangsu in the new journey of modernization.
