A recent report "Investigation and Evaluation Technology Research on Post-production Loss and Waste of Grain" shows that China reports a post-production loss rate of 15.69%. The report was released by Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and the National Institute of Grain and Material Reserves.

Jiangsu has built more than 800 informatized grain depots, accounting for more than 80%, improving its ability to guarantee food security.
