Enter the basic information in the application system and click Submit. In less than 2 seconds, the window interface will display "Approved". Click Print and you will get the certificate of origin.
China’s first ever certificate of origin by intelligent review was issued in August in Changzhou city, Jiangsu province. The automation, specialization and intelligence nature of the issuance of the certificate of origin is expected to further improve the efficiency of examination and approval and help foreign trade companies to seek greater overseas presence.
The certificate of origin is a pass for goods to enter the international trade as it helps importers and exporters to enjoy tariff reduction and exemption policies, and to facilitate customs clearance.
The intelligent document review system relies on new technologies such as big data analysis and pattern recognition with the computer replacing manual review and the applicant making self-printing, which greatly speeds up the processing time of foreign trade enterprises.
According to statistics, in the first month into the pilot operation, Nanjing Customs issued 13211 certificates of origin of various types, involving a value of more than 714 million U.S. dollars.
