泰州是京剧大师梅兰芳的故乡，蜚声中外的国家历史文化名城，2100多年的优秀文脉孕育滋养了这座城市的精神品格。自2008年起，泰州连续举办了十二届梅兰芳艺术节，梅兰芳这一城市文化标识日益显现。
Taizhou, the hometown of Master Mei Lanfang, is a world-renowned city of history and culture nurtured by more than 2100 years of cultural heritage. Since 2008, 12 Mei Lanfang Art Festivals have been held in Taizhou, and Master Mei is becoming a cultural icon of the city.

5 scholars of traditional art elaborated Mei’s significance to Chinese opera and culture, while offering valuable insights for Taizhou’s cultural branding of Mei Lanfang.
开幕式上，李奕洁带来的梅派经典《贵妃醉酒》，展示了梅派艺术之美，青年歌唱家张其萍演唱的歌曲《梅兰芳》，让观众在歌声中向梅兰芳先生致敬。
At the opening ceremony, Li Yijie presented “THe Drunken Beauty”, the classic works of the Mei Lanfang School, showcasing its unique beauty, whereas young singer Zhang Qiping performed the song “Mei Lanfang”, inviting the audience to pay respect to Master Mei.
美轮美奂的水幕秀表演“幸福水天堂”将开幕式的气氛推向了高潮。
The opening ceremony climaxed with the stunning water curtain show “Water Haven of Happiness”.
江苏国际频道、我苏网应邀对开幕式进行全球网络直播，并将盛况以中英双语向海外电视平台和Facebook、Twitter、YouTube等新媒体平台发布，力求将泰州梅兰芳艺术节这一文化IP推向全球。直播当晚，共计76.59万人次进入江苏国际频道和我苏网直播间观看开幕式盛况。
As invited by the organizers, Jiangsu International Channel and OURJIANG webcast the opening ceremony worldwide, with bilingual release of the grand ceremony on overseas TV platforms as well as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other new media platforms, in an effort to promote this culture IP of Taizhou Mei Lanfang Art Festival to people around the world. In the evening of September 28th, 765,900 viewers have watched the webcast of the opening ceremony via Jiangsu International Channel and OURJIANGSU.
