Jiangsu ready for national day holiday celebrations

East China’s Jiangsu province has geared up for the celebration of the National Day holiday and the annual Mid-Autumn Festival. Let’s take a close look.

The Scenic Area of the former Presidential Palace, Jiangsu Provincial Art Gallery, and Nanjing Library will offer night admissions for the sake of entertaining local residents and tourists during the holiday.

Between October 1st and October 8th, the Scenic Area of the former Presidential Palace will be open to visitors from 6:30 to 9:30 pm apart from daytime access. 

Jiangsu Provincial Art Gallery will be open to visitors from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

Nanjing Library will offer nighttime access before 10:00 pm between September 29 and October 8. 

The Six Dynasties Museum in Nanjing will host a series of parent-child activities.

The ancient town of Tongli in Wujiang district, Suzhou city, will light up its mid-autumn lantern show on September 30 when night lanterns will be hung on the main road with red lanterns beaming on both sides of the ancient stage. The city of Zhenjiang will stage 18 activities on four themes in Jinshan, Jiaoshan, Beigushan and Nanshan scenic spots, including osmanthus-tree festival, folk intangible cultural heritage exhibition, cactus exhibition, forest concert, and penjing stone appreciation exhibition.
