From September 11 to September 12, the Wuxi CPC and government delegation visited Xuzhou to conduct inspections and exchanges on promoting the implementation of cooperation agreement and the comprehensive and efficient advancement of the construction of the industrial park by the south and the north and visit and comfort the Wuxi cadres who working in Xuzhou. On the morning of September 12, the Wuxi-Xuzhou North-South Cooperation Joint Conference & Advance Meeting of Construction of Provincial-level Innovation Pilot Industrial Park and Provincial-level Distinctive Industrial Park was held. Huang Qin, Secretary of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, and Zhou Tiegen, Secretary of the CPC Xuzhou Municipal Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Xuzhou Municipal People’s Congress, attended the inspection and the conference and delivered speeches. Du Xiaogang, Mayor of Wuxi, and Zhuang Zhaolin, Mayor of Xuzhou, jointly unveiled the nameplate for Wuxi Xuzhou Industrial Park (under construction). Xu Yiping, Director of the Standing Committee of Wuxi Municipal People's Congress, Zhou Minwei, Chairman of the Wuxi Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, and Wang Anshun, Chairman of the Xuzhou Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, attended the inspection and advance meeting.
Promoting the high-quality development of Wuxi Xuzhou Industrial Park is the key task of the Wuxi Delegation. Since the two cities signed the framework agreement for cooperation and joint construction in June, 2020, all work of the industrial park has been fully promoted. At present, more than 10 major industrial projects have been negotiated and attracted with a total investment of 9 billion yuan. In the Fenghuangwan IC Industrial Park in Wuxi Xuzhou Industrial Park, Mr. Huang Qin was very pleased to see the high-quality and efficient progress of various tasks. He said that focusing on developing advanced manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, IC and information communication technology and biomedicine and big health industry conformed to the development direction of provincial-level innovation pilot park and gave full play to the existing industrial advantages of the two cities, which could completely build an influential industrial cluster. The Delegation also came to Eshan Village and Zishan Village in Hanwang Town in Tongshan District. They were inspired to see that local people paid great attention to the preservation, shaping and utilization of distinctive rural customs and traditional features. Mr. Huang Qin urged relevant departments to study good experience and practices of local people in "beautiful countryside" construction and urban precision management, adjust measures to local conditions and give targeted guidance to better realize the integrated development of "beautiful countryside" construction and tourist industry.
