Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met Monday in Nanjing with Chairman Wan Lijun of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Lou Qinjian expressed his gratitude to the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese for its long-term guidance and assistance to Jiangsu.
Lou Qinjian said that the returned overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese in Jiangsu have given full play to their role of being bridges and bonds by playing an important role in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring the economy through various channels and in various ways.
Noting that Jiangsu is a major province of overseas Chinese affairs, Lou Qinjian said Jiangsu will thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on overseas Chinese affairs, further strengthen the leadership of the Federation of Overseas Chinese, and promote new and greater progress in the cause of overseas Chinese affairs in the province.
Jiangsu will create a better environment, provide better services, fully support the development of overseas Chinese in Jiangsu, and give better play to the important role of overseas Chinese in the construction of a new Jiangsu, said the provincial Party chief.
Wan Lijun spoke highly of the important achievements Jiangsu has made in the promotion of overseas Chinese affairs. He said that the Overseas Chinese Federation system should thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on overseas Chinese affairs, give full play to the role of it being the bridges and bonds, win the battle against poverty, and make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a new development pattern.
He hoped that Jiangsu will further develop its work on overseas Chinese affairs, promote various tasks, and create more demonstrations and create more experience for the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
