Teachers from Hai’an County, east China’s Jiangsu province, have been sent to Ninglang Yi Autonomous County of Yunnan province to help with the school education over the past 32 years. They were honored role models of the times on September 7th by the publicity department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.

Teacher Jiang Ah Yuting referred to is Jiang Rong, a teacher from Hai'an. She and her husband Ding Aijun, who is also an English teacher, have been teaching in Ninglang since 2001. They have worked here for 15 years to become the teachers from Hai'an who have spent the longest time in Ninglang. They have missed the growth of their daughter but sent more than 1000 students to colleges.

The county reported a 45-fold increase in its fiscal revenue from 6.96 million yuan in 1988 to 310 million yuan in 2019.
