The second meeting of the Fifth Council of the Chinese Women Procuratorates’ Association was held Thursday in the city of Yangzhou, east China’s Jiangsu province. Zhang Jun, chief procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, sent a written instructions to the meeting. Wang Like, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Political and Legal Committee, delivered a speech.
Wang Like spoke highly of the positive role women procuratorates have played in safeguarding and escorting the development of Jiangsu.
He hoped that Jiangsu’s women procuratorates will take this meeting as an opportunity to learn from the valuable experience of other provinces, be devoted to their posts, and demonstrate their new responsibilities and new deeds in the new era.
The political and legal system at all levels in the province should support the work of the Association of Women Procuratorates, and create a better environment and better conditions for the growth and development of women procuratorates.
The commendation went to national procuratorate's outstanding cases of protecting the rights and interests of women and children and 10 outstanding women procuratorates.
