To strengthen cooperation and innovation across industries and help promote the “Beautiful Jiangsu” development strategy, a seminar of star-rated hotels in Jiangsu Province was held in Changzhou City on August 27 and 28.
The meeting included seven keynote speeches and two panel discussions, with topics focusing on recovery methods and digital transformation of hotels as COVID-19 prevent and control become a new normal.
At the meeting, the Jiangsu Department of Culture and Tourism released the latest Star-rated Hotel Development Report. To counter the impact of the pandemic, Jiangsu introduced a series of measures that allowed 54 star-rated hotels to receive fund totaling 10 million yuan.
At present, 95 percent of the province’s 424 star-rated hotels have resumed work, and the average room price and rental rate also returned to 80 percent of the level before the pandemic.
